May 31 – June 11: Creative Expression

June 14 - 25: Community Service (3 spaces left in Tucker, no space in Alpharetta)
~ At an Aurora Community Service camp, campers will learn that it is better to give than receive as campers learn ways to help their community and serve people within the community.

July 5 - 16: Movin' & Groovin' (3 spaces left in Tucker, 2 spaces left in Alpharetta)
~ Fun and physical fitness go hand in hand during this session.  Campers learn old and new games and activities that all can participate in without competitive pressure.

July 19 - 30: Weird Science (3 spaces left in Tucker, no space in Alpharetta)
~
Science isn't just chemicals and mathematical equations.  We'll discover the science that's all around us through simple items that teach us complex lessons about the importance of science in our daily lives.

All summer camps include at least one field trip.  Summer camp is held from 9 AM to 3 PM, Monday – Friday. Morning activities include research-based neurocognitive interventions and social skills training to promote academic and social success.  Afternoon activities include lunch (provided by parents) along with fun and engaging activities to promote fun, learning, and social skills success!

Morning Learning Activities

Every morning at an Aurora Summer Camp, campers receive intensive researched-based brain-building instruction to improve reading, math, attention, listening, and general learning. Each camper receives a pre and post camp standardized assessment for accurate measurement of gains.  At Aurora Strategies, we routinely see gains of 1 year after completion of an intensive 2-week camp!  Learning is accelerated and success is the result!  Therapists, educators, and camp counselors (ratio 4:1) accompany campers throughout their day.

Encouragement abounds and campers are rewarded for all accomplishments both large and small.  Social skills develop naturally in our all-inclusive camp.  Our staff is well trained in prompting developing friendships, managing stress and anger, teaching conversation skills, and increasing emotional intelligence.

The morning activities are approved by several Georgia school systems as an effective summer school option.  Aurora Strategies is accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission so you can trust the quality of our programs.

We use a variety of research-based, neurocognitive interventions to promote academic success including:

Interactive Metronome®, The Listening Program®, The Fast ForWord® Family of Programs, Sound Reading Solutions®, EyeQ®, Math Makes Sense®, WordSmart®, The Journey to the Wild Divine®, Lindamood-Bell® Family of Programs, Handwriting Without Tears®, and “How Does Your Engine Run”®

Cost persession is $1,100.00.  Registrations after May 14 (if space is available) require full payment at the time of registration.
